Session Topic will focus on cannabis from an agricultural law perspective. Hishaw will offer information about what you will need to do before and after cannabis is legalized on a state and federal level. As a cannabis farmer, you will have to take on all of the responsibilities of a traditional farmer. You will need to comply with all of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) standards including registering your farm, purchasing crop insurance, etc. You will learn about USDA programming along with the need for more social equity within the cannabis space.

Hishaw has presented on the legalities of cannabis/hemp as it relates to agricultural law at various events including a Fall workshop session at the Diasporic Alliance Cannabis Opportunities (DACO) in Philadelphia, PA.
